Supportive Service Counselor

As a Supportive Service Counselor, Shanali (“Shan”) leads case management and counseling services for program participants. work closely with the Community Outreach Counselor and with the supportive services team to build participants’ leadership skills through guidance, counseling, and mentoring. She is responsible for overseeing intensive case management, offering guidance to support participants in their personal, legal, and social service needs, and teaching Life Skills. Shan is a 2026 graduate from Salem State University with a Bachelors in Social Work. Over the past year, Shan served as a case management intern in North Shore CDC’s Young Adult Housing Outreach (YAHO) program, working with young adults ages 18 to 24 experiencing housing instability. A fun fact about Shan is that she moved to Massachusetts to live close to her sister, niece, and nephew. When she’s not with her family can often find her crocheting, sewing clothes, painting, or reading.
