YouthBuild is a nationally affiliated workforce development program for young adults ages 16 to 24, who receive hands-on, individualized support, education, training, career readiness, and life coaching.
We provide free one-on-one consulting and technical assistance, host a retail Pop-Up Incubator, Night Markets, and other economic development with a focus on immigrant-, women- and minority-owned businesses .
We offer direct one-on-one support to residents experiencing housing instability, including housing and job search and application support, RAFT assistance, citizenship, English language classes, and referrals.
We participate in community wide planning, advocacy and support to marginalized community members primarily in el Punto (the Point neighborhood) to advocate for the needs of a community to continue to thrive.
We believe public art can be a tool to help integrate neighborhoods and create more resilient communities. North Shore CDC created the Punto Urban Art Museum. This is a mission-driven art program with the goal of breaking down invisible socio-economic barriers.
