Residences at St. James is part of the Salem Schools project that also includes Hawthorne Lofts. Salem Schools entails the extensive renovation of two historic former schools into modern and energy efficient affordable housing. At this location 32 units will be built for households who have at least one member who is 62 years of age or older (with no discrimination against children).
This project is currently under construction. For more information on applications and the housing lottery an info session will be held on Thursday, April 10th at 1:30 pm at the Mayor Jean A. Levesque Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street, and via zoom.
