Katherine Amahia Castillo

YouthBuild Outreach Specialist

Katherine Castillo is the Outreach Specialist at YouthBuild North Shore CDC. She is a positive role model for youth and young adults who enjoys helping youth create positive changes in their lives. She is responsible for Leading extensive community outreach and creating community events to support those efforts. Katherine conducts intake assessments to evaluate the readiness and eligibility of participants for the YouthBuild program. She also provides one on one direct services to Youth through strength-based case management.

Katherine identifies and builds new relationships with community organizations, state and federal agencies and businesses to foster new opportunities for the YouthBuild program. She leads the strategic planning process for the outreach component of the program. Katherine is also responsible for the financial operations of the program. Not only does she provide payroll for the participants, she also handles the ordering process for the program.

Katherine is passionate about community and youth development work. In 2020 she was selected to be interviewed by commonwealth magazines, highlighting Katherine’s story as a former YouthBuild student and her trajectory.

In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and engaging in fun activities or going out to grab a bite. Also, she like playing video games and watching long TV shows.
