We are always looking for committed volunteers who would better our mission to improve neighborhoods through affordable housing and community development on the North Shore. We are happy to work with individuals, schools, organizations, or businesses to find the best opportunity that will add the most value to the work we do in our communities. We have many different opportunities available, both short-term and long-term, in a number of different areas:

Teaching Volunteer Opportunities

  • English Teachers: Assist our Adult English Language Learners by volunteering as an English Tutor at our downtown Salem location. Daytime and evening part-time positions are available.
  • Math Tutors: Assist our young adults enrolled in YouthBuild North Shore by volunteering as high school math tutor. Part-time positions available Monday-Friday afternoons. Volunteers will be tutoring college entry math in both one-on-one and small group settings.
